On a beautiful clear day we can see for miles, but when the rain falls our vision becomes blurred. The workings of the mind form a barrier from reality, creating the need for a second opinion, a hand to guide you through the rain. Forming optimism from dilema and intrigue from emptiness. A smile and a sympathetic hug can take away the pain in an instant, leaving a thirst for life and new experience. A good friend makes us immortal.

Haha, I made a balalaika in junior school. We each had to look through some books and find an interesting looking instrument to make and I chose that one. I made it from cardboard and wood, it was even complete with strings with some screw-in metal ring things for the tuning keys. It probably sounded awful but we all sat around in a group and made a lot of noise. I can’t remember what other people made but my teacher was impressed. I probably still have it somewhere or at least I hope I do. I remember it coming apart but that's nothing a bit of glue won't fix.
